PM inaugurates Awetu Riverside Development Project in Jimma town

Addis Ababa, June 16, 20021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has today inaugurated Awetu Riverside Development Project carried out in Jimma town as per the national greenery and beautification drive.

The riverside project has been initiated as part of the efforts to expand recreational and attraction sites in addition to the activities being carried out to preserve natural resources and underpin green development initiative.

Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen, House Speaker Tagesse Chafo, First Lady Zinash Tayachew, Chief Administrator of Oromia Region, Shemelis Abdisa, Deputy Chief Administrators of Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples Region, Ristu Yirdaw, among other senior officials have attended the inauguration ceremony.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has also inaugurated other completed projects worth 300 Million Birr in Jima town and the surrounding areas.
