PM: Various countries requested to employ 2mln Ethiopian nationals
Addis Ababa, July 6, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) said that various countries have requested to employ 2 million Ethiopians through legal employment.
Reflecting and highlighting the government’s performance report of the current fiscal year in the HPR’s 28th regular session, the Prime Minister revealed that various countries have submitted requests to Ethiopia to send 2 million citizens for overseas employment.
The Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS) has been established for the first time at the ministry level in Ethiopia, he reminded, adding that the MoLS has undertaken various activities in a short period of time.
The country has created job opportunities for over 3 million citizens this year alone, the Premier stated.
