Police killed 14 members of OLF-Shene group in East Guji Zone

Addis Ababa, November 25, 2020 (FBC) – Oromia Police has announced killing of 14 members of OLF-Shene armed group in an operation carried out in East Guji Zone.

Police said the members of the OLF Shene group were killed while preparing to perpetrate violence in Goro Dolla Woreda in East Guji Zone.

Peacekeeping Division Head in West Guji zone Police Department, Chief  Sajin Gutema Safeyo said that police has been undertaking close investigation and supervision to control potential perpetration by the group.

It is also indicated that police have seized 4 Kalashnikovs, AM-16, hand grenade and other 4 rifles from the members of the armed force destroyed.

The regional Special Force, Police and Militia have actively participated in the operation carried out to destroy members of the OLF-Shene Group, it is indicated.
