Premier inaugurates Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industry Park

Addis Ababa, May 8, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minster Abiy Ahmed along with several high ranking government officials has inaugurated Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industry Park.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister underlined that the efforts underway to modernize nation’s agricultural capabilities is further enhanced through the development of agro industries.

The inaugration of the Bulbula Integrated Agro Industry Park is a demonstration of Ethiopia’s vision for prosperity through the agriculture sector, he added.

Premier noted that the Agro-Industry park will have a crucial importance in transforming lives of the farmers in the area through sustainable market link and ensuring local product supply for consumers.

Trade and Industry Minister, Melaku Alebel said the industrial park will help farmers put their products on the market easily without complicated supply chains.

Its nearness to Modjo Dry Port and the capital Addis Ababa, makes the agro industry park suitable income generating oppourtunity for farmers of the area, he added.

The industrial parks is expected to create more employment for job seekers, it is indicated on the occasion.

Ethiopia has been developing Integrated Agro-Industrial Parks (IAIP) with a view to speed up its structural transformation in to industry-led economy.

The construction of Bulbula Integrated Agro-Industry is being undertaken under three phases and all projects have been finalized and made ready for operation.
