Premier lays a foundation stone for Arbaminch Conference Resort construction

 Addis Ababa, July 3, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has laid a foundation stone for construction of Arbaminch Conference Resort.

The Conference Resort will be built on a 120hectares parcel of land in a picturesque setting overlooking Lake Abaya.

Following the ‘Dine for Sheger’ and ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ tourism sector development initiatives, the Ethiopian Government has proceeded to ideating the ‘Dine for Generations’ flagship projects with the aim of developing 8 tourism destinations nationally, it has stated.

“With a 1.5 year completion timeline, we will continue fulfilling our growing aspiration of tapping into the USD 1.3 trillion global tourism sector revenue through the expansion of such initiatives that unlock our natural, cultural and historical wealth” the Primer said on a social media post.
