Premier meets with the Duchess of Edinburgh

Addis Ababa, October 11, 2023 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) today received Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Edinburgh Sophie Helen Rhys-Jones at his office during her Ethiopia tour.

During their meeting, the Prime Minister and HRH exchanged views on multiple development issues, the Premier confirmed through a social media post.

PM Abiy Ahmed appreciated the Duchess for her support to charitable initiatives within his country.

Recall that Her Royal Highness has also visited Ethiopian Airlines Headquarters in Addis Ababa on October 9. HRH and the delegates held a discussion with Ethiopian Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew and Executive Management and visited Ethiopian Airlines’ state-of-the-art facilities.

In her presence, the 50th Anniversary of Ethiopian Airlines’ service to the United Kingdom has also been celebrated at Ethiopian Aviation University in Addis Ababa.
