Preparations complete ahead of Irreechaa festival: Joint Security Task Force

Addis Ababa, October 4, 2023 (FBC) – The Joint Security Task Force confirmed that security forces have completed preparations to ensure the peaceful celebration of the 2016 E.C (2023) Irreechaa festival.

The Joint Security Task Force reminded that this year’s Irrrechaa festivals – Hora Finfinne and Hora Arsadi – will be celebrated on Saturday 7 October and Sunday 8 October in Addis Ababa and Bishoftu cities, respectively.

The Joint Security Task Force reviewed the celebrations of the 2016 Ethiopian New Year, Meskel and Mawlid festivals, and monitored preparations for the upcoming Irreechaa festival.

It is noted that security forces’ activites will be supported with modern security technologies to ensure the peaceful conclusion of the Irreechaa Hora Finfinne festival in Addis Ababa on October 7, 2023.
