Preparations underway for restoration of electric power in Tigray region: EEU

Addis Ababa, December 6, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) has announced that preparations have commenced to restore electric services in the Tigray region.

EEU confirmed that its senior management has passed a decision to identify the damage to the electricity infrastructure in the region and to make an urgent repair so that the community can regain electric service very soon.

Based on this, a group of technical experts has been formed and will be deployed to the region from Wednesday 8 December to supply the necessary resources for the maintenance work, EEU indicated.

It was also pointed out that by completing the maintenance work in a short time, EEU is committed to work hard to restore the interrupted electric service to the community.
