President Sahle-Work issues Timket best wishes to Ethiopians

Addis Ababa, January 20, 2023 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde has extended best wishes to Ethiopian Christians on the Timket festival which is being celebrated nationwide.

Timket is one of the Ethiopian holidays celebrated with strong spiritual devotion, the President said, calling all to nurture the values of the festival which is inscribed by UNESCO as intangible heritage of humanity.

Ethiopians have many things in common that bring them together as far as they embrace a shared goal and they are manifesting this in practice, she said.

The President further called on Ethiopians to celebrate Timket in harmony with tourist who have come from various parts of the world to attend the celebration.
