Prosperity Party will pass historic decisions and set directives for future endeavors: Office Head

Addis Ababa, March 11, 2022 (FBC) – The Ruling Prosperity Party (PP) has begun its first Congress in Addis Ababa in attendance of leaders and members of contending political parties in Ethiopia and sister parties from various countries of the world.

Welcoming the percipients, Head of the Office of the Ruling Prosperity Party, Adem Farah said that PP was born out of popular struggles and the undergoing national reforms.

“Prosperity Party is a multinational party that brought together Ethiopians under an umbrella based on principles of equality and fraternity,” he said.

PP has been registering remarkable results in ensuring peace and justice for the people of Ethiopia despite various challenges it faced since its establishment.

As a party emerged out of reform, it has defeated challenges effectively and turned problems into opportunities, he said, reiterating commitment of the party to sustainable benefits of the current and future generations of Ethiopia.

PP has been able to tackle threats posed by internal and external forces against wellbeing of the nation with massive popular support, and has endeavoring with a view to realize prosperous Ethiopia.

According to the Chairperson, the congress will thoroughly review achievements, identify bottlenecks, explore solutions to the challenges and set decisive directives for future endeavors at all sectors, he said.

The First Congress of the Party would help exchange constructive views that would help cement national reforms among members, he said.
