Public consultations underway in 20 cities across Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, February 15, 2024 (FBC) – A new round of public consultations is currently underway across 20 distinct cities and towns throughout Ethiopia today, with the aim of deliberating on pertinent national issues.

It is noted that the public consultations are being held under the theme “National Brotherhood and Sisterhood for Sustainable Peace and Comprehensive Prosperity”.

The consultations are being convened by senior government officials in the presence of the members of the local community.

These consultations are taking place in the Afar, Harari, Gambella, Somali, Central Ethiopia, South Ethiopia, Southwest Ethiopia, Benishangul Gumuz, and Sidama regions, as well as the Dire-Dawa City Administration.

Recall that similar public consultations were also held in Amhara and Oromia regions in the past two weeks to deliberate on current national matters.
