Russia remains open to diplomatic solution of Ukrainian crisis – Lavrov

MOSCOW, February 14 (Sputnik) – Russia remains open to a diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, but given the fact that Western countries do not want to take into account the interests of Moscow and the existing realities, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday.

“We remain open to a political and diplomatic settlement, taking into account our legitimate interests, taking into account the realities that have developed over many years and which have now led to the current situation,” Lavrov said during the government hour in the lower house of the parliament, adding that the West shows no interest in paying attention to these facts and the existing realities.
