Sanctions against Russia will lead to difficult consequences: Putin

Addis Ababa, May 12, 2022 (FBC) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that the West’s continued obsession with sanctions will lead to difficult consequences for EU citizens and the poorest countries in the world.

Sanctions against Russia can “provoke a global crisis,” Russia agency TASS said, quoting Putin. He added that Russia is successfully coping with sanctions.

Moscow’s Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov told journalists on Wednesday Moscow is deeply concerned about the situation in global food markets and will continue to fulfill its obligations under international export agreements in terms of agricultural goods and fertilizers.
