Scholarship awarded Ethiopian students accorded welcome in UAE

Addis Ababa, September 26, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian students granted UAE scholarships have been given a warm welcome in Abu Dhabi and other universities.

Recall that 273 students with high scores in the Ethiopian National School Leaving Exam of 2014 Ethiopian academic year were granted scholarship by the UAE through the initiative of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD).

All the students have also passed the entrance exam of the 10 universities that granted them the scholarship, according to Ministry of Education.

The students granted the scholarships have been accorded a warm welcome by the Abu Dhabi and other universities, it was learned.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the scholarship will play significant role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and the UAE.

The high-level leadership visit between the two countries is paying off in signing various agreements thereby elevating the cooperation, per ENA’s report.
