Senior Gov’t officials hold discussion with community members in Afar

Addis Ababa, January 3, 2020 (FBC) –A delegation led by Firealem Shibabaw, State Minister of Peace, has held discussion with representatives of community members in Afar regional state.

The delegation is composed of members from office of the Prime Minister, Federal Police Commission and Information Network Security Agency (INSA), among others.

The delegation has so far conducted in-depth discussions with representatives of the community in Gedamaitu, Endifo, and Adaitu. The discussion focused on conflicts and security issues in the areas.

After stressing the importance of resolving problems through dialogue, Firealem Shibabaw said the government will scale-up its law enforcement measures.

The State Minister also responded to questions raised by the participants and assured them that she will present their problems to pertinent bodies to find solutions for them.

According to the Ministry of Peace, the delegation will also hold similar discussion in other areas.
