Senior transport officials join campaign against water hyacinth on Lake Tana

Addis Ababa, October 25, 2020 (FBC) –Senior officials of the Ministry of Transport, including the Minister, Dagmawit Moges, this morning joined a campaign aimed at removing water hyacinth from Lake Tana.

Urban Development, Construction and Transport Affairs Standing Committee of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) as well as heads of regional states transport bureaus are also taking part in the month-long campaign.

Transport Minister, Dagmawit Moges, thanked farmers, the community as well as federal and regional leadership for their determination and inspiration to achieve the campaign.

The Minister further called upon other community members to follow suit and do their part for the success of the campaign launched on October 19, 2020.
