Foreign Ministers of African countries land in Addis Ababa for Executive Council meeting

Addis Ababa, February 13, 2024 (FBC) – The Acting Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, Ali Mohamed Omar, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burundi, Ambassador Albert Shingiro, arrived at Bole International Airport this morning.

Meanwhile, the Comorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed El-Amine Souef, the Cabo Verdean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Regional Integration, Rui Alberto de Figueiredo Soares, and Minister of External Relations of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella are also in Addis Ababa for the Executive Council’s ordinary session.

Moreover, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Executive Secretary, Workneh Gebeyehu, has also landed in the Ethiopian capital for the upcoming session.

The officials arrived in Addis Ababa for the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council Meeting. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by the Chief of State Protocol, Mr. Melaku Bedada, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
