Some 4700 People Get COVID-19 Infections in a Week: Institute

Addis Ababa, October 27, 2021 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Public Health Institute discloses that of those tested for COVID 19 some 4, 700 people have got infections of the virus over the last week.

The institute told FBC that of the infected some 139 are in serious condition.

Deputy head of Emergency Center at the institute, Dr. Mikiyas Teferi, has said that Covid infection these days is in a rise.

In average, the infection rate of COVID 19 tests now stands at a little over 10 percent in the country, elaborates Dr. Mikiyas.

He therefore urges for people receive the vaccinations of COVID-19 at public health centers and hospitals.
