Some 53 foreign investors explored opportunities in Ethiopia over the last 3 months: MoFA

Addis Ababa, November 2, 2023 (FBC) – Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Meles Alem, state that Ethiopia has carried out fruitful political diplomacy which, in turn, brought about remarkable achievements the foreign direct investments, technology transfer and tourism sectors.

The Spokesperson indicated that a lot of effort is being made at bilateral and multilateral levels in the area of economic diplomacy following reinvigorated diplomatic engagements.

Ethiopia has organized 48 investment promotion platforms in African, American and European countries during the past quarter of the current fiscal year, according to Ambassador Meles.

He said some 53 foreign investors have made pre-investment visits to Ethiopia over the last three months of the budget year.

To promote the tourism sector, the government has invited 33 tour operators to incorporate Ethiopia into their itineraries.

Ethiopia intends to actively participate in a number of international conferences in the upcoming weeks, Ambassador Meles added.
