Spanish companies keen on investing in Hawasa IP: Consulting Firm

Addis Ababa, July 29, 2023 (FBC) – Advance Group Projects and Technologies S.L, a manufacturing consulting firm, stated that Spanish companies are interested in investing in Hawassa Industrial Park.

The consulting firm has informed Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) that a Spanish manufacturing company engaged in textile and garments is interested in investing and manufacturing in Hawasa Industrial Park.

IPDC CEO, Aklilu Taddese, and other officials held a virtual meeting with Roberto Tolosano, the owner of the consulting firm, to discuss issues pertaining to the economic reforms being implemented in Ethiopia, investment options and incentives.

Mr. Aklilu, during the discussion, assured the consulting firm of the Corporation’s assistance and investment follow-up for the success of the investment. He affirmed readiness to expedite the process.

The leadership of the consulting firm appreciated the detailed briefing on investment-oriented proposal and agreed to ensure the Spanish company is engaged in the industrial park and carry out pre-investment activities.

The aforementioned Spanish manufacturing company is desirous of manufacturing t-shirts, trousers and jackets in three production sheds in Hawassa Industrial Park and plans to produce 225 thousand pieces of garments per month when it is operational.
