Speaker of the Upper House confers with representatives of World Bank Group

Addis Ababa, May 9, 2022 (FBC) – Speaker of the House of Federation, Agegnehu Teshager received a delegation led by Regional Director of the World Bank Group, Ousmane Dione at his office.

Agegnehu briefed the delegation on power and functions of the upper house. He appreciated the assistance of the World Bank to Ethiopia, calling for Group’s continued support for the country.

Ousmane Dione, for his part, reiterated the commitment of the World Bank to continue supporting the house and the country at large in prioritized areas of cooperation.

The two sides agreed to form a joint committee that will identify priritized areas of engagements for further collaboration.
