Addis Ababa, April 13, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador of Ethiopia to U.S. Fitsum Arega stated that Specialty Coffee Expo – Boston 2022 helps promote Ethiopia’s Coffee has helped promote Ethiopian Coffee to the international community.

Such an exhibition is the first event since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic across the world.

Ambassador Fitsum has also called for hard works to tap the digital market platform so as to penetrate the global market and increase competence in the sector.

Saying that number of participants has shown remarkable growth, the Ambassador added that the participation of youth coffee processors and exporters is promising.

He stressed need to work hard on traceability, certification, logistics and contract management in order to tap into growing demand by the international community to Ethiopian Coffee.

According to reforms undertaken in the coffee sectors, farmers with more than 2 ha of land are allowed to export for international markets, and some of them have participated in such an exhibition in Boston,”

The Specialty Coffee Expo, the largest coffee event in North America, is a vital platform for the coffee industry.
