Study finding detailing mass atrocities TPLF committed on people of Amhara unveiled

Addis Ababa, September 6, 2022 (FBC) – A finding report of a study conducted and published to the public by the University of Gonder yesterday, reveals that the terrorist TPLF group has committed mass atrocities including systemic genocide and ethnic cleansing on Amharas in Wolqait, Tegede, and Telemt areas for the past 40 years.

The book’s inauguration event was attended by the Deputy President of Amhara Region, Getachew Jember (PhD), the Prime Minister’s Social Affairs Adviser, Deacon Daniel Kibret, the President of Gondar University, Asrat Atsedewoin (PhD), elders and other guests.

Asrat explained that higher education institutions have the role of uncovering the facts, instilling knowledge and delivering it to the society.

He said that, in the past 18 months, Gondar University has designated a team of 21 scholars and carried out the apocalyptic genocide against the people of Amhara in Wolkait, Tegede and Telemt areas in the past 4 decades

The President noted that there should be enough knowledge to solve problems in a sustainable way, and that this research’s findings show the catastrophic and barbaric genocide committed on Wolkait, Tegede, and Telemt Amharas.

This book, entitled “Invasion and Systematic Ethnic Attacks in Wolkait, Tegede, and Telemt”, contains 380 pages and 7 chapters.

In-depth evidence has been collected on racial discrimination, sexual violence, destroying history and identity, economic exploitation, discriminations on the right to healthcare access and education and other areas, the University confirmed.

The Vice President of the Amhara Region, Getachew Jember (PhD), said that the atrocities committed by the terrorist group in Wolkait, Tegede , and Telemt areas are immortal witnesses.

He pointed out that the terrorist TPLF, during its tenure and afterwards, left young people in these areas without mentors and elders.
