SuperSport inks broadcasting deal with Ethiopian Premier League

Addis Ababa, September 29, 2020 (FBC) – Super Sport has inked broadcasting deal with Ethiopian Premier League to air matches in the country.

MultiChoice’s Supersport said it won the right to broadcast live football matches of the upcoming Ethiopian Premier League matches,

The league organizer, Ethiopian Premier League Share Company, had invited companies to submit their bids.

Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), DSTv and France-based Canal+ were amongst those who submitted their bids.

DSTv agreed to pay 2.7 million US Dollars per year on a five-year contract totaling 13.5 million USD.

According to Soccer Ethiopia, Canal+’s bid was 1.4 million US Dollars per year or USD 7 million for five years.
