Terrorist TPLF mercenary group fully destroyed attempting to enter Ethiopia from Sudan

Addis Ababa, September 3, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian National Derence Forces have fully destroyed a terrorist TPLF mercenary group that attempted to enter the country from Sudan via Almhal.

The mercenary group with 130 members has been recruited by the terrorist group to disrupt the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) construction. 

Coordinator of the Metekel Coordinated Task Force Command Post Division Head, Colonel Seife Ingi said that 50 of members of the group have been neutralized while the remaining 70 left seriously wounded.

Anti-vehicles mines and various kinds of explossives have been captured in hands of the TPLF affiliated group, he added.

Col Seife announced close follow up and surveillance by national army across border areas to safeguard the GERD and protect the area from any internal and external threat against sovereignty of the nation.
