Tewodros Mihret appointed as president of the Federal Supreme Court

Addis Ababa, January 17, 2023 (FBC) – Tewodros Mihret Kebede has been appointed today as the President of the Supreme Court of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The 6th House of Peoples’ Representatives of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia held its 2nd year 8th regular session.

The Upper House has assessed and approved the appointments proposed by the FDRE Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed.

Thus, Tewodros Mehret Kebede was appointed as the President of the Federal Supreme Court, while Ms. Abeba Embiale Mengiste was also appointed as the Vice President of the Federal Supreme Court.

Nominees appeared before the parliament’s session and took oath.
