The 116th ENDF anniversary being observed in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 26, 2023 (FBC) – The 116th Ethiopian National Defense Forces anniversary is being celebrated in Addis Ababa city at Mesqel Square.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, ENDF Chief of General Staff Field Marshal General Berhanu Jula, other senior government officials, ambassadors and military leaders of various countries, senior leaders and members of the army, various sections of society, are attending the event. In addition, the military attachés of various African countries are also in attendance of the event.

The day is observed to renew commitment and dedication of the gallant army in ensuring peace and stability of the country and to demonstrate the military preparedness as well as sustain the legacy of the army.

It is stated that ENDF Day is a day when the defense forces renew their promise and remember the heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifices and are still making sacrifices for the sovereignty of Ethiopia.
