Tony Blair Institute pledges continued support to Ethiopia’s digital transformation

Addis Ababa, March 25, 2023 (FBC) – Tony Blair Institute for Global Change has reiterated its pledge to support the digital transformation in Ethiopia.

Innovation and Technology Minister, Belete Molla discussed with former British Prime Minister and Founder and Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute, Tony Blair on ways of enhancing further cooperation.

It is stated on the discussion that the Tony Blair Institute has been providing the Digital Ethiopia 2025 initiative with technical assistance through research undertakings on implementation of e-services and capacity building activities.

The two have discussed institute’s future support in terms of digital infrastructure such as data center, internet access, cloud and new technologies.

Director General of the National Digital Identity Program, Yodahe Zemichael, briefed Tony Blair on the ongoing Digital Identification services.
