UAE pledges support for construction of elders’ center in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, November 9, 2023 (FBC) – The Women and Social Affairs Minister, Ergogie Tesfaye (PhD), held a meeting with UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mohamed Salem Al-Rashedi on bilateral issues of mutual interest.

Ergogie briefed the Ambassador on the activities underway to build a multipurpose elders’ center in the capital, Addis Ababa.

She said the design works for the state-of-the-art center have already been finalized and the construction will be commenced soon.

Ambassador Mohamed Salem Al-Rashedi, for his part, appreciated the initiative believed to improve livelihoods of elders and other vulnerable segments of the community, pledging UAE’s support for the construction of the elders’ center.
