UN Ambassador reiterates Ethiopia’s commitment to alleviate humanitarian situation in Tigray

Addis Ababa, June 16, 2021 (FBC) – Permanent Representative of Ethiopia to the United Nations (UN), Ambassador Taye Atskeselassie reaffirmed the commitment of the government to alleviate humanitarian situation in Tigray.

Addressing the informal meeting of the UN Security Council,Ambassador Taye has provided update on the ongoing blanket humanitarian access in the Tigray region.

Ambassador Taye further explained about the joint investigations being carried out by Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Un High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Federal Police in to alleged human rights abuses in the region.
