UN Asst. Sec commends activities in Ethiopia’s industrial parks  

Addis Ababa, February 15, 2024 (FBC) – The UN Assistance Secretary and Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov has commended activities in Ethiopia’s industrial parks.

Dr Ramiz extended his appreciation when he toured Bole Lemi Industrial Park together with CEO of Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation Aklilu Tadesse.

Aklilu briefed the assistant secretary on the ongoing activities in the park particularly in terms of job creation, environmental protection, market link and industrialization.

Dr. Ramiz mentioned the activities as promising, commending the priorities the given to homegrown companies and investors in the parks.

He also lauded the measures taken to create market link for farmers and create jobs for women and youth calling this a major step towards achieving industrialization and the SDG goals.
