UNDP affirms support to activities of National Rehabilitation Commission

Addis Ababa, February 20, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of Peace, Bnalf Andualem, received at his office today Ms. Ahunna Eziakonwa, Assistant Secretary-General and Director of United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Bureau for Africa.

During their meeting, they advised on the overall implementation of the peace agreement.

It was also stated that they discussed to strengthen the cooperation on the peace building process and on the effectiveness of the activities of the recently established National Rehabilitation Commission of Ethiopia.

Ms Ahunna Eziakonwa said that the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will work together and cooperate with Ethiopia in the peace building process.

She affirmed that UNDP will work together for the disarmament, rehabilitation, rebuilding and reintegration activities of the Commission.

Minister of Peace, Bnalf Andualem, expressed his gratitude for the support and cooperation UNDP is giving to Ethiopia.
