UNDP expresses commitment to support Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, September 22, 2023 ( FBC) – The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Administrator Achim Steiner said that UNDP is committed to supporting the peace-building process in the country.

The UNDP Chief, who conferred with DPM & FM Demeke Mekonnen today in the margins of the 78th UNGA in New York, noted UNDP is an all-weather long-term partner.

He also said that apart from the reconstruction and rehabilitation programs, UNDP supports Ethiopia to sustain its remarkable development momentum.

Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen lauded UNDP for its support so far and called for concerted efforts between the Government and development partners.

According to MFA Ethiopia, DPM & FM Demeke had productive discussions on other development programs as well.
