UNHCR, partners donate medical supplies to health institutions in Shire town

Addis Ababa, December 19, 2022 (FBC) – The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and other humanitarian aid partners have donated medical equipment and essential medicines to health institutions in Shire, Northern Ethiopia.

According to UNHCR Ethiopia, the donation will help increase the health institutions’ capacity.

In addition, the supplies will also enable the health institutions and centers to deliver improved health services to 500,000 IDPs, refugees, asylum-seekers, and more than 2,000,000 hosts in Tigray region, the UN Refugee Agency confirmed.
