Veteran U.S. diplomat rebukes President Biden for his unjust comment on Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, August 21, 2022 (FBC) – U.S. veteran diplomat, Ambassador Tibor Nagy has rebuked President Biden for his unjust comment on Ethiopia regarding consequences of the conflict in northern Ethiopia.

“President Biden’s statement on World Humanitarian Day limits mention of suffering in Ethiopia’s Northern Conflict to only one region (Tigray) since other regions have also been victimized,” he said.

Biden, in his statement, said that the conflict caused gender-based violence only in Tigray although reports of the Ethiopian Human Rights and Amnesty International revealed huge atrocities in Amhara and Afar Regions.

The terrorist TPLF forces gang-raped girls and women and massacred hundreds of innocent civilians in Amhara region, and looted and vandalized thousands of health and educational facilities in the Amhara and Afar regions, reports indicate.
