Vint Cerf commends Ethiopia’s preparations for IGF2022 17th Summit
Addis Ababa, December 2, 2022 (FBC) – Vinton Gray Cerf, the American internet pioneer – widely known as “the father of the Internet”, praised Ethiopia’s preparations for the 17th global Internet Governance Forum (IGF Ethiopia 2022).
The FDRE Minister of Innovation and Technology, Belete Molla, held a discussion with Vinton Gray Cerf, (the Father of the Internet).
In the discussion, Vinton G. Cerf praised Ethiopia’s preparations for the 17th International Internet Governance Forum (IGF Ethiopia 2022).
He said that he witnessed the great hospitality of the Ethiopian people at the event.
Ethiopia has demonstrated its commitment to internet governance by organizing the Forum, Cerf said.
The MoIT Minister, Belete Molla, thanked Vinton G. Cerf for coming to Ethiopia, participating in the Forum, and sharing his experience at the event.
Both the Minister and Cerf have also advised on areas of cooperation in the future.
The 17th global IGF summit (IGF Ethiopia 2022) is being held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from November 28 to December 2, 2022.
