WFP delivers 300 tonnes of humanitarian aid to people in need in Alamata

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2022 (FBC) – Additional United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) convoy has entered Alamata from Kombolcha.

The WFP food aid including wheat, split peas and vegetable oil is being distributed to 67,000 people in Alamata town and the environs.

On Wednesday, WFP humanitarian convoy entered Mai Tsebri via Gondar corridor for the first time since June 2021. Critical relief food is currently being distributed to communities in Mai Tsebri town and surrounding areas, according to WFP.

More food, nutrition, medical cargo will follow imminently, via all routes, WFP announced.
