Works being undertaken to enhance export trade ties with China – Ministry

Addis Ababa, August 30, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration indicated that efforts are being made to boost Ethiopia’s export trade ties with China.

Ethiopian delegation led by Minister of State for Trade and Regional Integration, Kasahun Gofe, is partaking in the China-Africa Cooperation for Development conference, which is being held in Beijing, China.

The Minister of State confirmed he held a discussion with the big buyers of Ethiopia’s oilseeds in China.

China is the leading country in receiving Ethiopia’s agricultural products, he said, adding that an agreement has been reached to reddress the bottlenecks in the trade ties between the two countries.

The Minister of State hopes that the export trade engagements with China will improve in the coming months.
