World champion Gudaf Tsegay to race in Boston

Addis Ababa, December 20, 2023 (FBC) – Organizers of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix have announced that the 2023 10,000m world champion Gudaf Tsegay of Ethiopia will compete at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Boston, the U.S., on 4 February.

Returning to the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix for the first time since 2018, Gudaf headlines the women’s 1500m.

It is known that the Ethiopian has been one of the sport’s most successful and versatile athletes in recent seasons. She has won world titles at 1500m indoors, as well as 5000m and 10,000m outdoors. She also holds world records for 1500m indoors and 5000m outdoors.
