A delegation of national sports federations arrives in Mekelle

Addis Ababa, June 30, 2023 (FBC) – A delegation of national sports federations led by the Minister of Culture and Sport, Kejella Merdassa has arrived in Mekelle City, Tigray regional state to assess extent of damages on social infrastructures in region.

The delegation consists of presidents and chief executives of Ethiopian Football Federation, Ethiopian Swimming Federation, Ethiopian Darts Federation and other sports organizations.

Social Cluster Coordination in the Interim Regional Administration of Tigray, Kindeya Gebrehiwot has received members of the delegation upon their arrival at Alula Abanega Airport in Mekelle.

The delegation is expected to meet with officials of the interim administration to assess the damages inflicted on social development facilities and seek ways how to restore and rebuild the infrastructures.
