US Embassy launches photo exhibition marking 120 years of Ethiopia-US bilateral ties

Addis Ababa, May 8, 2024 (FBC) – The US Embassy in Addis Ababa has launched a captivating photographic exhibition entitled “A Visual Journey of 120 Years of Bilateral Relations,” commemorating the 120th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Ethiopia and the United States.

At the opening ceremony, the US Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ervin Massinga, said that the two nations will continue to strengthen their longstanding ties in the domains of education, healthcare, and the economy – partnerships that have spanned over the course of the past 12 decades.

The exhibition serves as a poignant testament to the rich history and enduring bond shared between Ethiopia and the United States, chronicling the evolution of this multifaceted relationship through the lens of evocative imagery.

This exhibition provides a unique opportunity for the public to gain a deeper appreciation for the depth and breadth of the diplomatic ties that have flourished between the two countries over the course of the past 120 years, it was indicated.

According to the US Embassy in Addis Ababa, these historical snapshots will be open to visitors at the Ethiopian National Museum from May 8 to 26, at the Addis Ababa University Institute of Ethiopian Studies (IES) from May 29 to June 8, and at the Hyatt Regency from June 17 to July 7.

The Embassy invited visitors to experience the visual exhibition.

It is said that this event will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the visual narrative of the Ethiopia-US century-old partnership.
