Alamata-Kobo power line maintenance 50pct complete

Addis Ababa, October 26, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) announced 50 percent completion of the ongoing maintenance works on the Alamata-Kobo high voltage electric power line.

Head of EEP Woldia Disctric, Shemelis Woldesemayat said the high voltage transmission under maintenance was damaged by the terrorist TPLF. Repair works cover transmission lines span areas from Alamata – Kobo and Kobo-Lalibela, he idicated.

In North Wollo alone, more than 46 electric transformers and dozens of concrete poles have been vandalized by the terrorist TPLF Group, it was learned.

According to Shemelis, the maintenance works will be fully completed within a week so that electric services will be fully restored in the war ravaged areas.
