Ambassador Driba Kuma confers with Finnish MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen

Addis Ababa, March 5, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to Sweden, Driba Kuma conferred with Finish Member of European Parliament Sirpa Pietikäinen.

Ambassador Driba briefed the Finnish MEP on the humanitarian assistance situation in Tigray and related activities in the region.

The ambassador further expressed his concern towards statements from European Union as overrated and failed to recognize efforts of the government of Ethiopia to address humanitarian issues and rebuild the region.

Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen briefed ambassadors and representatives of members of the United Nations Security Council in Addis Ababa on the current situation in Tigray.
