Attorney General office resolves over 12, 000 files in first quarter

Addis Ababa, October 14, 2020 (FBC) –The Federal Attorney General said it has adjudicated more than 12, 000 files in the first quarter of this Ethiopian fiscal year.

While presenting quarterly performance report today, Attorney General Dr Gedion Timothewos said his office received at total of 12, 239 files and was able to resolve 12,037 of them.

The Attorney General further said his office is process to recover 412 million birr from financial crimes.

He added the office filed charges against more than 3,000 individuals suspected of having links in the deaths and property damages occurred following the killing of Artist Hachalu Hundessa.

Artist Hachalu was shot dead last June in Addis Ababa at a place called Gelan Condominium.
