Bus crash kills 20 people near Amdework town, Amhara Region

Addis Ababa, January 24, 2022 (FBC) – At least 20 people have been killed in a traffic accident as a bus heading to Sekota from Ibnat plundged into an abyss near Amdework town at a specific place called Abo Megenteya, Amhara region.

The Amhara Regional State Traffic Police exclusively told FBC that the number of causalities may increase and the cause of the accident is under investigation.

Police added that another six people who have been injures seriously have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
