PM Abiy Ahmed officially launches “Dine for the Nation” fundraising program

Addis Ababa, August 16, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has officially launched “Dine for Nation” fundraising project in a view to enable Ethiopians, Ethiopian Nationals and Partners leave their fingerprints in the legacy Ethiopia’s prosperity.

While launching “Dine for Nation”, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said the project facilitates a platform that helps Ethiopians, Ethiopian Nationals and Partners of Ethiopia to put their mark on the Legacy of Ethiopia’s Prosperity.

“Today we officially launch the ‘Dine for the Nation’ program to mobilise funds for three projects we will be starting in Gorgora – Amhara Region, Wonchi – Oromia Region and Koysha -South Region as our prosperity initiatives go regional” the premier tweeted.

Building on the experience and success of prior projects in Addis Ababa through the ‘Dine for Sheger’ event in May 2019, the new ‘Dine for the Nation’ initiative aims to raise Birr 3billion in the next two months, according to the Premier.

The premier further noted the committee established to spearhead the resource mobilisation starting from today engaging stakeholders at all levels.

“Dine for Nation” arranges dinner program booked by VVIP and VIP guests in the first weeks of October, 2020.

VVIP will be paid 10 Million Birr while VIP will value 5 Million Birr per dish.

Furthermore, Crowdfunding will be arranged through Ethiotelecom via short message Service to enable citizens leave their fingerprints on Legacy of Ethiopia’s prosperity.
