Ethiopia participates in 5th Drone World Congress 2021 as country of honor

Addis Ababa, May 23, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopia has participated in the f5th Drone World Congress which is focused at development and application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for multi-purpose activities as country of honor.

Ethiopia is represented on the congress by its Consul General to Guangzhou Province, China, Ambassador Ewnetu Blata.

Ethiopia is accompanied by Pakistan and Switzerland which are also invited as countries of honor to the congress.

UAV and other aspects of artificial intelligence are playing pivotal role in Ethiopia in modernizing the agriculture sector, Ambassador Ewnetu said on the congress.

Ethiopia is benchmarking best practices and benefiting from technology transfer out of its close partnership with China through the Sino-Africa Cooperation framework, he added pledging country’s commitment in advancing the use of UAV and related technologies for its economic and social development endeavors.

The Drone World Congress held in Shenzhen, China from 21st to 23rd May 2021.
