Ethiopia reports 610 new coronavirus cases

Addis Ababa, July 29, 2020 (FBC) – The Ministry of Health reported 610 new coronavirus cases out of 7,760 laboratory tests conducted during the last twenty four hours.

The new report increased the number of confirmed cases in the country to 15, 810.

The Ministry also reported 14 coronavirus–related deaths, taking the total number of fatalities to 253.

Some 159 additional patients have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 6,685.

Currently, there are 8,870 active cases in the country of which 66 are under severe conditions receiving treatment in intensive care units.

Ethiopia has so far conducted 403,611 laboratory tests.
