Ethiopia reports 356 COVID 19 cases, four deaths in 24hrs

Addis Ababa, July 18, 2020 (FBC) – The Ministry of Health has confirmed 356 new positive cases of COVID 19 out of the 6,886 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 9,503.

Of the new cases, 255 are from Addis Ababa, 48 from Tigray, 1 from Afar, 5 from Harari, 11 from Dire Dawa, 5 from Amhara, 4 from Sidama, 11 from Somali, 14 from Oromia and 2 from Southern regions.

The Ministry also reported 4 COVID 19-related deaths, bringing the death toll to 167.

A total of 41 patients have also recovered from the virus, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,941.

Ethiopia has so far conducted 323, 932 laboratory tests.
