Ethiopia reports highest single-day increase in COVID19 cases

Addis Ababa, July 30, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia today reported a record 805 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID19).

The overall number of coronavirus infections in the country has now reached 16, 615.

The Ministry also registered 10 COVID 19-related deaths, bringing the death toll to 263.

Some 78 patients have  recovered from the virus, taking the total number of recoveries to 6,763.

There are now 9,587 active cases of which 134 are in a severe condition.

Ethiopia has so far conducted 413, 397 laboratory tests.
